Travel Information
Access by plane:
Leipzig-Halle airport is located between the two cities, Leipzig and Halle, and has direct highway access (A9/A14). The FlughafenExpress train commutes twice/h between the airport and Halle main station. Train rides take approx. 12 min.
Travel by car
Halle is surrounded by highways. The most important ones are the A14 (Magdeburg-Halle-Leipzig-Dresden) and A9 (Berlin-Munich).
Travel by train
Direct ICE connections exist to Munich, Erfurt/Frankfurt, Magdeburg/ Hannover and Leipzig/Dresden; further ICE connections, via Leipzig; IC/EC connections, to Leipzig/Magdeburg/Hannover/Köln and Bremen/Oldenburg as well as Stralsund, Berlin, Erfurt, Kassel and Düsseldorf.
Scientific EventsYoung Investigator Award
A Young Investigator Award will be presented to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows based on the submitted abstract and presentation of the work at the meeting, either in oral or poster (height 1.48 m, width 1.18 m) form. Candidates must be first authors on a submitted abstract and must check the appropriate box on the electronic abstract form. The awardee will receive 500 Euros in recognition of his/her work.
