In 2009, the 4th International Meeting on “cGMP” will take place. After Leipzig, Potsdam, Dresden we decided to hold the meeting in another German jewel, Regensburg. This conference series is now well established in the field and is exclusively devoted to this exciting and important signaling molecule. It addresses broadly all recent advances in understanding guanylate cyclase regulation, NO/sGC interactions, cGMP effector mechanisms and their pathophysiological and pharmacological implications. Particular attention will also be given to applications of the novel cGMP-elevating drugs which are in clinical development, thus spanning the continuum from basic science to clinic.

Again, great basic science and important clinical advances are to be expected. The organizers will try their best to keep the overall costs as affordable as possible so that many young scientists and students will be able to participate and benefit from stimulating discussions of their work.

This is a meeting that should not be missed …
